Details of the Club.
We are a very friendly Athletic club and we cover all aspects of the sport. In Summer we cover Road running along with track and field events. In the autumn and winter months we compete in Cross country and indoor Sports hall events.
The age range to compete and become a full member is 9 years old and upwards until you have difficulty walking and even then there are still tasks to be done. Younger members (8 and under) are welcome but parents need to be on site with them on training nights. They can even go for a gentle run with one of our coaches while they are waiting.
The training nights are mainly Tuesday and Thursday starting at 6.30 to 8.00 but other days and times are sometimes available once your skills and preferences have been assessed. We meet at the Ashfield School, Sutton Rd., Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Notts. NG17 8HP and we meet by the gym.
The new track is made up of a modern synthetic type material and the area is floodlit for all year round training. We also have use of the indoor Gyms and changing rooms complete with showers.
