I feel the course is ideal for the mini league it has various type of terrain is has a variety of scenery but it will need quite a number of marshals so if any club can offer help to assist it would be greatly appreciated as you can see on the course map I have planned to use a minimum of 12 to ensure all runs smoothly and any drop outs or course cutters will be spotted straight away. this is a larger scale map showing the location of the park from the M1 junction 28 or the A60 Mansfield to Nottm rd
this is just part of the parks leaflet so you can see the wider area and may want to go for a walk or feed the Ducks and Swans

The Course

The main paths are compacted hardcore with a narrow amount of grass at the side. so runners need to check on the day what type of spikes if any should they need on the hard surface
The second type is where the track is not so compacted and there is wider area of grass at the side
Finally the grass track has areas that never really dry up and can be rather "Sticky"
Spectators view should be reasonably good from the wild flower Meadow or from the side of Brierley Water both of which are Very close to each other
If it rains the only shelter is the visitors centre which is 5 minutes away so umbrellas may be a requirement
Drinks and Snacks are available at the visitors centre at very good prices which opens at 11.00am and closes at 1.30pm
Toilets are also in the visitors centre

The Arrival

Enter the site by Skegby Rd and park in either of the two parks at the bottom but the gate to the overflow park should be open by 10.30am.
Walk down the main path to Brierley Water and you will see the start just off to the left before the bridge and the "Pit Headstock Wheels"
