Report
On the same day six members of the club attended an open meeting at Loughborough University organised by Charnwood Athletics Club who are based at the track. The members attending were mainly young athletes who took part in a maximum of three track or field events. The day started nice and sunny just right for the marathon but late in the afternoon thick coats were needed for the spectators especially those who were watching the field events as they didn't finish until 6.15 pm. The members competing for Sutton were Bethany, Jordan and Hannah Mitchell, Paul Rathbone, Matthew Cotton along with Andy Mitchell who took part in the shot, discus, hammer and javelin with some good throws. Many personal best times were achieved during this event, which indicates a good starts to the track and field season; the specific times and distances will be published in detail
